Week 6 Report

Week 6 Report

Q Assignment Instructions You are required to complete a minimum of two walking sessions per block. A walking session can be completed outside or indoors. It is acceptable to complete the walking session on a treadmill. A walking session consists of the following: • A minimum of 5 minutes of a warmup at a slower pace • A minimum of 30 minutes of walking at a faster pace • A minimum of 5 minutes of a cool down period at a slower pace • A total of 40 minutes of active movement Students will be required to submit a walk report in each of the blocks listed in Blackboard. The walk report should contain documentation for each of the days a walking session was completed (minimum of two walking sessions per block). In other words, each student will be submitting one walking report per block. This means each walking report will contain a minimum of two sessions of data. The walking sessions have to occur on different days, so you can’t decide to walk for one 80-minute session and have this physical activity session count as two sessions. Only one walking session per day will be accepted! The walking sessions must be completed in the weeks of the assigned block in Blackboard in order to receive credit. The walk reports are due by 11:59 p.m. on the last day (Friday) of the scheduled block. You get to decide what fitness tracker you want to use to provide the documentation. You can use a wearable fitness tracker or any app on a phone (Strava, Map My Walk, Google Fit, etc.) that you desire. All data reports should be saved in a format that is viewable by the instructor (jpeg, pdf, etc.). Screen shots are acceptable to use as documentation as long as it shows the information listed below (date, time, distance and/or number of steps). You will be required to provide documentation that shows a minimum of the following: • Date the walking session was completed • The total time completed in the walking session • The number of steps and/or distance completed Each walking report is worth a maximum of 20 points.
